Good way to get arrested...charge of criminal trespass on private property. Retired after 41 years in law enforcement as a Deputy Sheriff and State Trooper I've been involved in numerous crowd control situations and arrests for criminal trespass over the span of my career.. "Trespassing as it relates to real estate law means entering onto land without consent of the landowner. There are both criminal and civil TRESPASS laws. Criminal trespass law is enforced by local police and sheriff's departments." All States have statutes (750.552) which is the general state statute for trespass. This statute prevents anyone from trespassing upon the premises of another after having been forbidden to do so. Violation of the statute is a criminal misdemeanor offence, punishable by a fine of up to $50.00 and 30 days in jail or both. There are also several statutes which make it illegal to trespass and to damage property, block or restrict commerce (business) and under such statutes, someone who is found guilty of entering the Land of another without permission and destroying property or causing restraint of commerce is liable for actual financial damages caused by said trespass.

Boycott no more!!
All of us are angry about gas prices and it’s time for us to do something about it! Boycotting isn’t going to affect the oil companies’ bottom line; they’re making too much money now. We have to start talking, shouting and protesting. Talk to your friends, family and neighbors, tell them how angry you are, and ask them to do the same. We have to act and protect ourselves before we fall victim. Let’s protest together so our voices can be heard!

ill do it ill protest
set a date a place a time and gather ppl ill be thereyou got to fight for whats right
And he is dead who will not fight; And who dies fighting has increase
One strong wolf cannot defeat a pack of dogs; one strong arm cannot defeat many fist
God is not on the side of the big battalions, but on the side of those who shoot best
When the enemy advances, withdraw; when he stops, harass; when he tires, strike; when he retreats, pursue
There may be times when we are powerless to prevent injustice, but there must never be a time when we fail to protest

Increasing the speed limit from 55 to 75 didn't change my car's mileage one whit, so I support the higher speed.
Protesting oil companies is like shooting the messenger; if you want lower prices we need to increase domestic production. Protest Congress and the environmental groups that block increased drilling and refining. (Bonus points if you dress up like an oil rig.)
Call your congresscritters and tell them to support increased domestic production efforts, such as S.2973, the "American Energy Production Act of 2008."

In order for any action to have an impact, this action has to be properly organized.
This organizing force (party, trade union, etc) is missing. Without this force the results of any action will be negligible.

Michaelbrainard is right, I have set back and read this forums a long time and didnt have anything new to add and one more person yelling about who to blame wasnt going to do any good. And everytime someone came up with an idea EVERYBODY said it wouldnt work. Well one day boycotts was a flop, there are buckets of reasons why. I think this is a great idea if for the first time we WORK TOGETHER and quit saying it wont work. How the hell do we know what will and wont work NOTHING has been done. Lets do something anything to see what goes. And if that fails do something else. I might get made fun of because of my new post status but It wont bother me as I,m willng to something and not sit behind my P.C and criticize every idea that comes along

Protest in front of the White House because of Bush! He owns oil companies.
Note: you may be risking jail time in case of wild, out of control protests.

I'm with Michellebrainerd. We need thousands upon thousands and even hundreds of thousands of people in all major cities in the United States to protest the gas gouging of the BIG Oil Companies! They've raped us long enough and this is the last straw! We need to show up not only at gas stations and block them out, but show up to the corporate offices of the BIG Oil companies, like Exxon, Super America and others and DEMAND they drop the price and maybe surround their plush cushy office buildings and not let them leave until they cut the price in half! We MUST do something and fast, because the American Economy is on the verge of collapse with gas this high!

what about instead of doing gass outs during the work week (when people still have to get to school and work) doing it on the weekend so that the majority of the people can stay home and not use gas????

I would be willing to protest in the Lansing area. Speedway gas stations in particular are completely out of hand. They'll go up 20-30c in one day - often raising their prices several times a day. My husband is in sales and drives all day - we're spending $800/mo plus in gas MORE THAN OUR MORTGAGE!!! It's killing us right now :0( Heck, I'll even help make some signs. All Lansing area protesters UNITE!!!

Well, it's about time the feds finally look into the gas prices (as of yesterday). This is the highest I think they've ever been and do we really have a shortage of gas that drives the prices of gas up 20-30 cents overnight?

Funny isn’t it, how illegal immigrants can unite, organize and protest against Americans and the UNITED STATES !!!
You know politicians listened!
Yet we, as Americans can’t stand up for ourselves!
