Chances are slim I can find a ride for a 35 minute trip to Jacksonville, FL from Fernandina Beach, FL daily. No one works with me on my shift in my area, so I must drive to get to work.

Maybe we should try to combine our errands. Do as any of them in one day as possible. I had to do this several years ago when I lived 23 miles from town, and it does make a difference.

Sorry, I will have to pass. I need my car for work everyday and besides buses don't run at 1am. I work 330pm til 1am. I sure as heck am not going to ride my bike in the dark. LOL.

What don't you understand about "world economy". As long as the rest of the world is having a booming economy it doesn't matter if we cut back, the price will keep going up or at the best level off.

I live in the country and if I lived 10 miles from work, it still would not be feasible to ride-a-bike, lol. Not sure how your area is, but we have a lot of hills, so it would be impossible to depend on a bicycle, even for 30 days.

when you live out of town and don't have public transportation in your town, it makes it hard.

2 fillups a week @ 24 gallons, to no gas for 30 days will not be something done easily.

I live in the country and I'm five minutes from work, but there is no bus available. I also work long nights. I can imagine what it'll be like for me riding a bike or walking at night on back country roads. LOL!
