One of the advantages of being in a small town is they'll help the older people with the gas pump. (My Mom never learned and she's technophobic; light bulbs sometimes get changed when one of her children visit.)

Wouldn't you pay extra for this service??

Small town 66 station does it at no extra charge for the senior citizens.

Just wondering Slyguy1060,
W/the price of gas now-a-days,wouldn't a "new" gas station take advantage of this situation and throw in a 'freebie' of full service. What a concept and think of the publicity for our newgasage service!!!!

Even though this topic isn't about boycott or gasout, the fact of life is that the full serves are a dying breed across the nation. As a former manager of some of them I can tell you that it's hard to get employees that can add and subract without the benefit of a cash register and when the weather is bad it sucks pumping gas all day.

Wrong thread. It should be on your local board. I had NO clue what the DFW stands for until I read where you're from.

I don't know what this is doing here? Should be on the local board.

Wilson: It is New Jersey that prohibits self serve.

I think there is one in Irving at Northgate and Beltline. An Exxon station but don't quote me on that because I never buy gas there anymore. The pumps closest to the building were always higher than the ones by the street. I assumed that this was full service.

gas stations are thinking about it because of the huge increase in fuel theft.

Well not that I know of in DFW but there is one in Pennsburg PA you pay an additional $.10 a gallon and you have a kid pumping gas and checking your fluids but what the heck.

Well I found a "FULL SERVICE STATION!!!"
The station is located in D'Ville,TEXAS at
422 East Camp Wisdom Road and the full service
price is a whopping $2.39!! The regular 'pump your own'
gas is only $1.77. A big difference of .62 cents and yes
there was a driver getting the full service...........
