I think we all have awakened to the energy problems as early as the Carter administration and the gas lines that happened. What to do? Keep the federal government out of it, the private sector can handle the problem but need to lighten up on the restrictions and mandates. Central government control is death to our freedoms.

Lets look to alternative energy sources....
In Michigan how about putting small dams back to work generating electricity...
This hydro power would not be great but would power many homes for little cost....

I'd say green energy is a con. Being efficient with tried and true enegy sources is the way to go.

One major reason for becoming more efficient in the field of fuel probably has little to do with "green" environment. By have more efficient, it means saving money when paying for fuel. The price of oil has been going up and up. That means more costs. By having being more efficient, the raising price could slow down a bit for the payers.
