One station has reopened under a new name that had closed down during the height of the price rise from Hurricane Rita.

A new station opened right across the street from an existing station. The new station offered a lower price initially but it has now increased its price. The older station had to more or less match the price of the new station.

There will be many closings if congress fails to enact a credit card relief act, currently gas margins are about .03 per gallon and credit card fees are about .11 per gallon... stations can not survive much longer with these high fuel costs and ever higher credit card fees.

Congress also must approve drilling in the U.S. and the building of new refineries... this will increase the value of our dollar and increase supply, which could drop the price of gasoline $1.00 to $1.75 per gallon.

If we don't act now it won't matter if gas is $6.00 per gallon.... you will be more worried about where to buy it not how much it costs

A former GoMart gas station in Star City was torn down not too long ago, but I'm not sure if that was within the last 6 months.

I noticed one station was a duplicate with a different name. I posted a deletion for that station on the master list.
That would be a loss of 1.
