Are you set for $1.50 a litre?
Thursday, May 22, 2008
The Globe And Mail -- The chances that the price of gasoline will hit the $1.40 to $1.50 a litre range this summer have increased now that crude oil has surged past $133 (U.S.) a barrel, analysts say.

The price at the pump averaged around $1.27 (Canadian) a litre across Canada this week, but the combination of a usual summer spike and high crude prices will likely cause a further jump of at least 10 to 15 cents a litre, said Cathy Hay, senior associate at MJ Ervin & Associates Inc., which tracks gas prices.

"What we haven't seen yet is that seasonal rise in gas prices related to supply and demand," she said.

Hey gasforus,

You may buy gas in gallons, but your vote still doesn't count. Thanks DNC!

at $1.50 for a litre, that's close to CDN$6.00, which, because the US Dollar is in the toilet because of the reckless atittudes of our White House Idiot and his Oil Pal and puppeteer, DIckieBoy, is equivalent to almost US$7.50...

And Canada has vast oil reserves they are pumping, so get this straight: MORE DRILLING WILL *NOT* BRING PRICES DOWN... if fuel costs are bugging you, go to alternative fuel sources (NOT the ones Big Oil is touting!) but electric cars with solar chargers, or compressed air engines... and biomass fuels

Consider this...Bottled water runs about $7.00 a gal. Gas don't look so bad compared to this.

Sometimes I think that if the so called pundits would shut up, which only causes panic, things would settle back to somewhere near supply and demand.

However it looks like the socalled pundets` need to see their name in print overrides their common sense. So they get their name quoted and the consumer is hurt again as the ego ef those experts revel in their prophecies are read.

Yes.. we are getting shafted by the high oil prices, but yet we continue to help all these countries and be everyones' big brother, but the Middle East can't be considerate. They need their millions so they can build the snowslide and ski palace in the middle of the desert!!!! Let's all continue to donate to THAT cause!

Wouldn't it be nice if a cheap fix was found and all of those big oil countries had to get food aid from America.
