State grants promoting use of natural gas in vehicles and spend more taxpayer money? As more and more vehicles, trucks or buses are built to use natural gas OR converted over to natural gas, more natural gas will be used and the price will go up, just like the morning sun. Don't expect natural gas to stay low for very long, the trend for all fuel prices is always up and up more! It does Not matter if you have to heat your house with it either, higher natural gas prices. An article on here said that less natural gas is being produced because there is NO profit to keep drilling and producing natural gas. Big Oil and Big Gas exports fuel and natural gas to other countries that will pay more for it, much more than here. There will be NO price reduction or cheaper prices for fuel or natural gas IN the US, so it does NOT matter how much crude oil or natural gas is produced. More refineries is Not the answer, keep the exported fuel and natural gas here. If you are traveling, know where your natural gas refill stations are and plan according. There are many online sites that have CNG refill stations located across the US for people that have to refill their CNG vehicles. Plan your trip with those stations on the route. With more natural gas trucks, truck stops will have or install CNG refueling pumps to take care of them. So cars and pickups can refuel at those same natural gas pumps too. If CNG vehicles are 'bombs,' then why aren't gasoline vehicles bombs also with their 10 to 20 gallons of highly flammable liquid fuel in the fuel tanks. They have crashed, caught on fire and exploded too! DUH! Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle, vehicle manufactures Produce and the population ‘Drives’ vehicles with high MPG, are very safe, reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money. The price of fuel at the pump is too high! XII/XXII/MMXII!

if there is so much xcess ng gas available and it's a good business decision, why do companies need grant money. by 2014, all excess ng in this country will become lng and exported anyway.

The low fuel cost will entice high consumption users to make the switch. No need to waste taxpayer money on political favors.

Good to get CNG going but don't start the subsidy game.
Governments are bankrupt. Quit spending money that does not exist.
Deficit spending is like credit card spending. Fine until the bills come in and don't stop -- ever!

I think ths is a mistake. It will end up driving electricity and home heating prices will skyrocket (especially in the western states).

Well $10 million is squat so who cares?
Like Natural Gas, Propane has done well in our region, it was at 79.9 a litre last year ago and has been at 79.9 since. Why? ... Propane is a component of Natural Gas and while Nat. Gas prices have been falling ,Auto Propane dealers are making a killing, They are quite happy giving it to us at the same price these days.
For idiots born yesterday that don't have a clue...Auto Propane was born in Canada as well as other places in the 1970's when OPEC gave us the finger.
I suppose now the US could give the finger back but Americans are simply to stupid these days to act.

ExplorerWA the grant money is coming from the oil companies. And it is helping to create a demand for their products. If their are no natural gas vehicles then their is no need for more natural gas.
